26th October, 2001: Chairman GM3VBT

Sinclair GM0NOZ sadly has been readmitted to hospital following further complications with a digestive problem. He had been temporarily admitted last month following troubles. The club wishes him a speedy recovery. Sinclair was an enthusiastic and well-liked member when he lived in Glasgow.

John GM0WRR has received his DXCC Century award, a prestigous prize for making overseas contacts with one hundred different countries. He is only the third member of the club to have achieved this wonderful award.

The CQWW SSB contest is on tomorrow - so members are welcome (as usual) to visit the shack and participate using the club station! Members taking part are welcome to use contacts made in this contest as points in the Alex McGill competition.

Eric GM4BOA will be presenting a talk next week (2 Nov) on 'Digital Modes on HF'.
